"1967" 30x40" $1888 Acrylic and Paper on Canvas

“Summer of Love” 30×48″ $1888 Acrylic and Paper on Canvas

“Summer of Love? Easy: 1969.”
“Ah, no. 1967.”
“1969!”
“1969 did have Woodstock and landing on the moon, but also had the Stonewall Riots, the beginning of British troops occupying Northern Ireland and, considered the ‘end of the hippie era’: the Manson murders.  The summer of love was 1967.  Get it straight, dude.”

This painting immediately had the feel of the late 60s and early 70s to me, and why not celebrate the hippiest year, 1967? What a great year. Mind you I was only around for about 8 days of that summer.  đꙂ
Painted on stretched canvas, this intuitive piece is 30 inches by 48 inches and is mostly acrylic paint with a little paper collaging under it all.
